Introducing Provision Living’s
When families notice signs of memory impairment in a loved one, they often don’t know where to turn for help and education. While online resources, co-workers, siblings and friends may offer assistance, there is no substitute for the expertise of a trained professional to help navigate the maze of elder care options.
Provision Living is helping to stop the guesswork that families endure when an aging loved one’s capabilities begin to change. We are introducing an innovative service to the St. Louis region that accompanies our new Provision Living at West County assisted living memory care community in Des Peres.

What to Expect from a Family Connect Consultation
Provision Living’s Family Connect provides access to a team of experienced, St. Louis-based elder care professionals who will guide your family through a three-step process. Family Connect begins with a free, two-hour confidential consultation with a master’s level consultant who will assess your family’s needs, connect you with local services and resources, and provide education and strategies to help your family develop the care plan that best fits the needs of your elder, while also caring for yourself.
Step 1. Document Your Observations
Prior to evaluation by a medical professional, your Family Connect consultant will advise you on how to document your family’s observations, so that the changes you are noticing in your loved one’s behavior can be organized and used as helpful information for a doctor or geriatric assessment specialist.
Step 2. Prepare for Evaluation
Elders may be fearful of visiting a doctor, so how can you accomplish getting your loved to a medical professional? Your Family Connect consultant will provide you with strategies and tips to help with the process of obtaining the necessary medical evaluation.
Step 3. Create a Strategy That Addresses Short-Term Concerns
If your family is faced with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or a related dementia, your Family Connect consultant will help you identify and carefully review potential areas of concern related to your loved one’s daily living situation. We will show you how to determine the urgency of the need for care with a focus on ensuring safety and wellbeing.
