Understanding Dementia

Event Details

Dementia is an advanced brain disorder with a variety of symptoms that affects millions Americans. This disease silently wreaks havoc, stealing memories and leaving a chasm of blankness where those memories once resided.

Caregivers and loved ones who are trained to understand the complexities inherent with dementia can take an active role in caring for their loved one, finding moments of joy in times of change.

In an effort to bring understanding the often misunderstood symptoms and complications caused by dementia, Provision Living is partnering with the Panama City Beach Senior Center to assist families and caregivers in the Bay County area with the education, tools and resources necessary for those living with dementia to continue living purposeful, meaningful and dignified lives.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and door prizes will be available.

Senior couples and adult children are encouraged to attend together. This program is designed for those who have already received a diagnosis of memory loss, or those who want to proactively prepare for the future.

Please RSVP by email to Amy Goodwin, Community Relations Manager at Provision Living at Panama City Beach at agoodwin@www.provisionliving.com, or by calling the community at (850) 348-8146.
