Lunch and Learn: ICE – A Cell Phone Safety Campaign

Event Details

Visiting Angels of Columbia, a national in-home senior care agency, has launched their ICE: A Cell Phone Safety Campaign to help seniors in case of emergency. To ICE a cell phone, you load emergency contacts in seniors’ phones with the word ICE in front of the emergency contacts’ names, so when someone finds a senior in trouble they know who to call In Case of Emergency.

Visiting Angels will explain how to ICE your cell phone and they can individually help seniors input those into their contacts if they choose.

Each attendee will also receive “Emergency Contact Information” cards to put on their refrigerator for anytime emergency personnel are called.

Complimentary lunch and beverages will be provided. Doors open at 11 am.
