Provision Living Honors 4 Staff Members as Heroes
At Provision Living Senior Communities, our mission is to empower team members to grow and prosper, and to create an exceptional place for elders and their families. One of the ways we empower our team members is by recognizing those who are going above and beyond what they are asked to do; we call them Provision Living Heroes.
Our president and co-founder Todd Spittal, working in partnership with our Human Resources Department, spearheaded and launched the Heroes Initiative. Executive directors at each of our 13 communities were asked to collaborate with their management team to nominate a staff member who they felt was a hero of their community. “We realize that we have hundreds of heroes within our communities who care for our residents and their families each and every day. Selecting just a few people wouldn’t be easy,” said Alison Niermann, talent strategy manager.
This spring, Todd Spittal surprised each of the nominees by traveling to their communities and honoring them. Each nominee was recognized in an awards presentation consisting of a reading of the nomination letter, remarks from Todd, and a special gift.
“I see heroes everywhere,” Todd said. “This is the realization that grips me every time I visit one of our senior living communities. When someone brings their own uniqueness, combines that with skill, attitude and heart, and uses their gifts to create the exceptional for elders and their families … that is a hero at Provision Living. They rarely desire to be recognized, but honoring our Provision Living Heroes helps inspire others to use their gifts to impact the people around them.”
