Partners in Care: Training to Meet the Needs of Elders with Alzheimer’s

While most senior living communities focus on placing elders in either memory care or personal care, our approach does not force families to make that choice. Instead, Provision Living at Beaumont Centre offers a solution for families who may feel uncertain about the right type of care needed for their loved ones: we support memory loss, Alzheimer’s and dementia needs for all elders.

Dignity. Respect. Self-Determination.

PVL CO © (43 of 50) for webProvision Living has designed a social model that creates an environment where each elder can experience their unique personhood and maintain their life force. The focus of the social model way of care is to create activity that is life engaging and meaningful in the moment. Everything that is done is geared toward relationship building between elders, families and team members. All attention is placed on each individual’s quality of life.

We support choice, dignity, respect, self-determination, and purposeful living for everyone we serve. Our associates are all partners in care, and we believe this care helps others to grow. We work collaboratively, along with our families, to eliminate loneliness, helplessness, and boredom for our residents – feelings that far too many many elders face every day.

Promoting Quality of Life for Elders and Families

In keeping with Provision Living’s longstanding vision of building a radiant organization where people are loved, inspired and thriving, our community recruits and trains associates with the goal of honoring PVL WC © (99 of 105)Edit4and enhancing their unique gifts. We have partnered with the Eden Alternative, an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to transforming care environments into habitats for human beings that promote quality of life for all involved.

Our care partner teams are trained and certified as Eden Alternative Associates, which allows us to meet the needs of people living with Alzheimer’s or related dementias in a resilient, flexible and highly responsive manner. To learn more about person-directed care and the philosophy that is guiding the growth of our team, visit the Eden Alternative website.

Provision Living at Beaumont Centre is located at 1165 Monarch Street in Lexington, Kentucky, and is slated to open in Spring 2017.
