Provision Living at West County
Provision Living at West County is located in Des Peres, Missouri, just west of I-270 and north of Manchester Road. Our location is in the heart of St. Louis County and offers proximity to premier shopping, dining and many of the area’s most established neighborhoods, and is just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.
While most elder living communities focus on placing elders either in memory care or assisted living, Provision Living at West County offers a solution for families who may feel uncertain about the right type of care needed for their loved ones. Our approach does not force a choice between assisted living and memory care. Instead, we support memory loss, Alzheimer’s and dementia needs for all residents, because aging usually involves some form of memory impairment.
People with Purpose
In keeping with Provision Living’s longstanding vision of building a radiant organization where people are loved, inspired and thriving, our community recruits and trains team members with the goal of honoring and enhancing their unique gifts.
Our team members serve our residents as Care Partners and are educated and trained around the belief that care means to help someone to grow. Care is based on a person-directed approach that puts the person first. Care partner teams work collaboratively to create opportunities for radiant living by eliminating loneliness, helplessness and boredom. This underlying philosophy prepares our community to meet the needs of people living with Alzheimer’s or related dementias in a resilient, flexible and highly responsive manner. Dedicated Family Support
Our associates are committed to supporting the choices, needs and desires of every resident, as well as those of our residents’ family members. We provide families with support coordinators who function as personal advisors and single points of contact. We will assist your family in choosing the right type of care and provide ongoing support and regular communication to ensure care levels are adjusted as needed, over time.
Provision Living at West County is committed to active participation in the St. Louis community. We understand that our residents have diverse interests and their desires vary relative to how much they’d like to participate in different activities involving family, friends and local organizations. Our goal is to enable experiences that match the interests and desires of our residents, and we tailor our activities based on what residents tell us and our understanding of their capabilities and preferences.
At Provision Living, our approach to wellbeing takes on a social model of care that creates in-the-moment engagement. From our dining experience to our fitness programs, all of our activities are geared toward building relationships between elders, families and team members, while respecting the individual needs and characteristics of each of our residents. Complementary therapies are offered to residents and exercise is scheduled, accessible and encouraged.
