Provision Living at Hattiesburg, MS
Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the “Hub City” of the South, is just a 90-minute drive from the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast, New Orleans and Mobile, and is home to Provision Living at Hattiesburg. Located in a quiet and scenic wooded area, we are convenient to Turtle Creek Mall, the Merit Health Wesley Medical Center and a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment destinations.
Our bright and well-appointed building is warm and inviting with the feeling of a grand hotel. Our layout is designed to be easy to navigate and accessible with the majority of our community spaces situated on the main floor. The bistro is a favorite gathering spot where residents share conversation and enjoy coffee and homemade treats, and our fan-cooled, covered front porch offers a relaxing respite for nature lovers to commune year-round thanks to the Pine Belt’s temperate regional climate.
People with Purpose
Our leadership team has over 25 years of combined experience in caring for seniors and many of our associates have been with us since the beginning. Our passion for exceptional caregiving places education at the forefront. We train our caregiving team with the best possible resources and many of our associates have received specialized instruction in memory care techniques and strategies from the Alzheimer’s Association.
Though Hattiesburg has been named one of the top metro areas in the country thanks to the low cost of living, we still have a welcoming, small-town feel. People know each other from the grocery store, church or even elementary school, and you’ll always get a wave from a passing car. Most of our residents and employees have a history that goes back years – even decades – and we enjoy seeing former friends and neighbors reconnect.
Wellbeing encompasses more than just physical health. It encompasses the entire person – mind, body and spirit. We connect our residents to the best that Hattiesburg has to offer, including fitness classes, brain aerobics and enriching cultural experiences such as visits to the University of Southern Mississippi’s Mannoni Performing Arts Center.
Food, family and tradition are a hallmark of Southern culture, and we love to see families dine together. Our exceptional chef creates meals that are healthy and full of flavor, including regional favorites like fried chicken, catfish and homemade cornbread. These familiar flavors and experiences serve as a way to share memories, connect loved ones and celebrate life’s blessings.
Spiritual nourishment is also provided through weekly religious services as well as bible studies and visits from local clergy and church groups. Our bus transports residents to local church service in the area, while the Hub City Theater, just across the street from our campus, offers a worship service each Sunday. Our executive director also leads a popular devotional activity for residents each Wednesday.
